On Monday, December 2nd, we visited Campus Frederikssund, where a new chapter in Danish technology and sustainable construction was launched.
Campus Frederikssund is already home to advanced innovation studies and technology, but in the spring of 2025 it will also facilitate the new AM-LAB ØST, home to the world’s first 3D metal printer, developed by DTU.
Several representatives from Denmark’s business community, including Dansk Industri, Dansk Metal, and the Technical University of Denmark, gathered to participate in the festive marking of the project’s first sod cutting.
The mayor of Frederikssund, Tina Tving Stauning, was the first to grab the spade, followed by the Minister of Taxation, Rasmus Stoklund, and member of Parliament, Hans Andersen, whom both operated the motorized excavator.
In collaboration with WorldFLEXhome and ERIK arkitekter, henrik-innovation ApS has contributed to the development of AM-LAB ØST’s modular buildings. Our focus has been to advise and develop energy-efficient solutions to ensure high, green building quality.
WorldFLEXhome (WFH) is currently revolutionizing the construction industry with its modular building system, which can be built vertically and configured in a variety of ways. WFH emphasizes design for disassembly – a strategy that promotes recycling and reduces the use of non-renewable resources, thereby supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Henrik Sørensen os henrik-innovation ApS serves as technical director for WFH and is responsible for all technical matters related to energy and indoor climate. In addition, he has contributed to the development of the new wall system, which is patent-pending in China, India, the EU countries as well as the USA and a number of countries in Africa.
We are proud to contribute to a concept that blends flexibility with environmental focus and long-term sustainability. We look forward to the spring of 2025, when AM-LAB ØST will be completed, serving as a beacon for innovation and sustainability.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
